About Leah

Leah Longest

Deep Shawnee Roots

"Shawnee is home to me. I was born here, raised my family here and soon will hopefully watch my kids raise their kids here too."

Leah was born at the Shawnee hospital, and she graduated from Bethel High School. Leah and her husband, Matthew, have three children and live just east of Shawnee. She is deeply invested in both our past and our future.

Local Business Owner

For nearly 20 years, Leah has owned and operated Shawnee Beauty College, training thousands of students and helping them launch their own businesses across Oklahoma. She also owns State Beauty Supply on Harrison. Leah knows firsthand what it takes to meet payroll, navigate regulations, and create good-paying local jobs—the kind of real-world experience we desperately need at the State Capitol.

Statewide Leader

In 2021, Governor Kevin Stitt appointed Leah to the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology because he knew she'd bring conservative principles to state government. Leah delivered: she slashed unnecessary bureaucracy, reduced the number of government employees, and modernized outdated systems with efficient new software. In 2022, her fellow board members recognized Leah's strong, principled leadership by electing her Chairman of the Board. Leah has already spent countless hours at the Capitol working directly with legislators to protect her industry from overregulation. That means no learning curve—on Day 1 in the Oklahoma House, Leah will hit the ground running to fight for us.

School Board Member

Since 2021, Leah has served on the Grove School Board. She's advocated for higher teacher pay, tougher discipline, higher academic standards, and total transparency with every tax dollar. She's stood firm against woke agendas and made sure parents—not bureaucrats—have the final say in their children's education.

Woman of Faith

Leah grew up attending Evangelistic Center Church, where she sang in the choir, helped with children's church, and served in the youth group. Today, she and her family attend Life Church. At the Capitol, Leah's decisions will always be guided by her Christian faith.

Strong Conservative

At the Capitol, Leah's decisions will always be guided by her Christian faith. She'll be an across-the-board conservative - standing up for the Christian conservative values this country was founded upon.

Right to Life

Leah will stand up for the Christian conservative values this country was founded upon, including the Right to Life and protecting the most vulnerable among us.

2nd Amendment Rights

Leah strongly supports our constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

Hold the Line on Taxes

Leah will hold the line against tax increases and fight unreasonable regulations on business that burden hardworking Oklahomans.

Investment in Education

Better investment in our schools, supporting teachers and ensuring high standards for students.

Strong Law Enforcement

Leah will strongly support tough law enforcement to keep our community safe.

Voice for Our Community

Leah will be a voice for our community and the good hearted, everyday people who work hard and play by the rules but are too often forgotten about in politics today.
